A hot spot is an area that you define on a page that to reacts to a user’s click. You can also define the action that the hot spot performs in response to the click. (e.g. play a sound, go to the next page, etc.).
You can add a hot spot to a page by choosing Add Hot Spot from the Page menu. There is a sub-menu that lets you choose to define a shape as Rectangular, Round or Freeform.
When rectangle or round is selected, the cursor will turn into a cross. Position the cursor where you want the top, left corner of the rectangle (in the case of a round shape, the top, left corner of an enclosing rectangle) and click and drag out the box or sphere.
For a freeform shape the cursor will turn into a pencil. Click and hold down the mouse button. Draw any shape. The shape is defined when you let go of the mouse button.
To view all the hot spots on a page press the control key or caps lock key. (See “Control Key” and “Caps Lock” under “Special Key Functions”.)
